A standard full electric bed has the following functionality:

A standard full electric twin uses a 7" foam or innerspring mattress that fits on a 35" x 80" frame. The head, foot and platform raise and lower electrically. These products come with two electric motors. One motor raises the head and the foot of the platform, an additional motor is responsible for raising and lowering the platform itself.

A standard semi electric bed has the following functionality:

A standard full electric twin uses a 7" foam or innerspring mattresses that fit on a 35" x 80" frame. The head and foot raise and lower electrically. These units come with one electric motor that controls the up and down motion of the head and foot of the platform. The platform raises and lowers mechanically with a crank.

Definition - Bariatic Full Electric Hospital Bed

A bariatric full electric bed has the following functionality:

A standard full electric twin bariatric use foam or 7" inner spring mattress that fits a 48" x 88" or 42" x 88" frame. The head, foot and platform raises and lowers electrically. These units are designed to accommodate persons weighing more than 300 lb and up to 600 lb.

Luxury Full Electric

Definition - Luxury Hospital Bed

In general, a luxury hospital bed has all of the functionality of a standard full electric hospital platform but comes standard with an upgraded 10" foam innerspring mattress. By comparison, standard full or semi electric hospital platforms come with 7" innerspring or foam mattress. Luxury's are also distinguished from standard hospital platform by the base unit the upgraded mattress rests upon. Standard hospital platform frames are metallic and have to be assembled in two pieces. As you can see below luxury platforms do not. Luxury base units are one piece and padded.
